Gordy Recette has two world titles and many continental and national championships in four different sports and has held 1st to 3rd degree black belts in four different styles. He acted as team director for the Canadian Ju-Jitsu Team at the 2006 World Ju-Jitsu Championships and continuing to support the community, he currently serves as Boxing Commissioner for Richmond City in British Columbia. He volunteers between approx 100 hours a year at an elementary school and various charities and associations and is a director of the Nova Metis Heritage Association. Download Full Bio

Born and raised in Rossland, BC in a family of 10, with 10 cousins as next door neighbours. Post secondary education at Selkirk College, UBC, BCIT and Kwantlen College. I love travelling in BC, Canada and internationally. I am an avid cyclist… along with my wife we have cycled across parts of Europe, BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia and PEI. Married with 2 boys – 29 and 32. Trained as a draftsperson and Architectural Technologist. Worked with the Province of BC, Dept. of Highways and various architectural and engineering firms.
